Persian legend. Ruler's name and titles (From bottom to top: Sikkah mubarak / Badshah Ghazi / Shah Alam = Auspicious coin of the Emperor, Warrior against the infidels, Shah Alam). Date (1202) in the cental line at left.

Reverse:
Persian legend. Mint name and Julus formula (From bottom to top: Zarb Malharnagar / sanat 29 julus / maimanat manus = struck at Malharnagar, (in the) year 29 (of his) reign associated with prosperity). Symbols: tri-foliate Bilva Leaf and Lingam, both in the central line, above and before the 'S' of 'Julus'.

Note:
The Bilva Leaf and the Lingam are religious symbols of Lord Shiva.
